PBI-3 is a digital lightning strike counter intended for counting of surge currents as a result of lightning effects. The counter operates without the external source of energy and therefore requires no maintenance. Life time of inbuilt Li-battery is longer than 10 years.
Installation instructions:
This counter has to be connected in the conductor path carrying the surge current. The best installation position is between the equipotential bonding bar and the earthing system. This conductor has to be interrupted and PBI counter has to be inserted in lightning current path with the help of two suitable parallel connecting clamps.
Warning:
Opening the equipment can cause its destruction and invalidates the warranty!
